Sarah Sawyer appreciation post

Things people tend to forget about John’s S1 girlfriend, Sarah:

• She’s surprisingly okay with John’s flatmate crashing their date 
• When John and Sherlock are fighting circus performers, Sarah grabs something heavy and wins the fight for them by hitting a bad guy over the head 
• She then comes home with them and relaxedly jokes about fighting gangsters 
• Sherlock is rude to her and she sasses right back, then continues trying to have a conversation
• She is integral to solving the case of the Blind Banker. She notices that Soo Lin Yao had already translated two words - something Sherlock himself had missed 
• After a night of crime fighting she is cool with just having takeout and hanging out 
• She is kidnapped, threatened and almost murdered, after which John jokes that their next date will be better. She not only goes on a second date with him, she actually continues seeing him till after the end of S1. 
• The relationship ends while they’re on vacation in New Zealand. John’s blog doesn’t say much about it [...]

In conclusion, Sarah Sawyer was smart, badass, adaptive, generally pretty chill and had to put up with a lot of nonsense
