Eurus wanted him to snap
(sherlock meta by jennifer-lily through fuckyeahsherlolly)

If Eurus wanted Sherlock to snap why didn’t she use Irene Adler? I love both women, but giving John speech about Irene’s texts in TLD I thought his true weakness was her - The Woman.

I don’t buy at all the “his outburst was because of the stressed situation/because he hurt a friend” explanations ‘cause he remained impassive when people actually died, but lost control because of words, his and Molly’s feelings. Words.

Giving his rational mind, words and love confessions should be nothing compared to actual death. He’d prefer to break her heart than to having her killed. If he didn’t feel anything of the sort, he’d have simply found a tricky way to make her say it. But no, he suddenly went emotional, tricked himself and almost fucked up.

They could have used his deep friendship with John (which they did, but not in this way, not to cause him this level of frustration, hurt and anger), but they chose Molly. Why?

“Look what you did to her. Look what you did to yourself, all those complicated little emotions. I lost count. Emotional context, Sherlock. It destroys you every time.”

In fact, it did.

It’s the first time I take Molly's and Sherlock's relationship seriously - in a level that contemplates possible romantic feelings. This scene was so powerful that it’s hard not to see all the nuances. I truly never thought Molly as such a weakness for him.

Three ILY's from Sherlock with three different meanings, in which is clear that the last one is some kind of revelation he has never really thought about before. His feelings actually came out through words.

This is a confession about something not exactly clear in his mind yet. It’s completely new, he still doesn’t know what to do with this particular emotion.

Somehow, Sherlolly doesn’t seem such a strange ship, not even for himself.
